Experts Academy added another milestone recently, becoming the latest Academy Partner of CompTIA in the Philippines.
The Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA), is a non-profit trade association, and is considered one of IT industry’s top trade associations. CompTIA issues vendor-neutral professional certification in over 120 countries.
The partnership was formalized during a simple awarding ceremony last September 29, 2017 at Experts Academy’s main branch in Makati City. The event was attended by CompTIA Philippines country manager Orlando Seachon Jr., together with assistant country manager Orlando Seachon III.
Partnering with CompTIA will provide Experts Academy’s school partners with technology based training courses that are in sync with market demand. CompTIA , being among the top five sought-after professional certification issuers together with Microsoft, EXIN (ITIL) and Cisco, will allow Experts Academy to solidify further its position as the undisputed top producer of certified professional in the country. Since 2012, Experts Academy have produced more than 2000 certified professional, producing at an average rate of three certified professional every day.

Mr. Seachon Jr. also cited some IT industry challenges with regard to supply of quality professionals, as well as the emerging threat of cyber crime and data breach. “Here in the Philippines, a lot of professionals are not receiving the training needed to narrow the IT skills gap. There are numerous jobs out there yet only a few can really do the work. The IT skills gap is a serious matter that we should all be concerned about, especially nowadays wherein there is rampant malware, ransomware, hacking, etc. The only solution to avoid these problems is to train and certify individuals with CompTIA certification.”
When asked about the significance of having Experts Academy as the latest addition to its pool of academy partners in the country, he added: “With the growing number of vacant IT positions which is driven by lack of skilled professionals, the key is to train individuals with quality certification. Having a partnership with Experts Academy will help us produce more competent and proficient individuals by providing them with the right set of skills and knowledge needed by the industry.
